CHORALE MUSIC
The East Central Minnesota Chorale , a civic choir , represents five counties in east central Minnesota and pursues the specific mission of bringing to the region fine choral music performed at a high artistic level . The Chorale performs in many cities throughout east central Minnesota . The season usually includes several concerts : three at Christmas , a mid-winter performance , and a spring dinner concert in May . The group ’ s repertoire includes everything from classical Renaissance to contemporary styles , as well as oratorios , folk and spiritual songs and Broadway and pop arrangements . The chorale ’ s current director is Charles Moe , director of choirs at Princeton High School . In 2009 , ECMC launched Unum Vox , an elite honors choir developed to challenge young singers in grades 10 , 11 and 12 . Unum Vox provides a unique opportunity to high school singers . ECMC typically awards two vocal music scholarships annually to graduating seniors that are planning to continue participating in choral music at the collegiate level . ECMC singers rehearse 6:30-8:30 p . m . Mondays in the choir room of the Cambridge-Isanti High School . MUSIC AT WINERY
Enjoy music while sipping local wine at the North Folk Winery , 43150 Blackhawk Road in Harris . Check online or call for current COVID-19 restrictions . Concerts are typically held regularly in the summer , and each August brings the Vines Bluegrass Festival , a one-day event offering the best bluegrass in Minnesota . Music is also a big part of the annual Oktoberfest , which also includes games , hay rides and German fare . The winery is part of the Upper St . Croix Wine Trail . The Hallberg Center for the Arts is the home of Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community ( WACAC ), an alliance of artists , musicians , performers , photographers , and writers that have come together to bring the arts to the communities surrounding Wyoming , including Forest Lake , Stacy , North Branch , Chisago City , and more . This arts community is committed to celebrating the diversity of the region by offering an array of affordable cultural opportunities and experiences designed to appeal and be accessible to all . This includes hosting new art exhibits each month , art classes for all ages , writers groups , and the Songwriters in the Round live music series . Admission to the Hallberg Center for the Arts is free . Festival Theater in St . Croix Falls offers professional entertainment with small-town charm . While the historic 1917 Civic Auditorium at 210 N . Festival Theatre , founded in 1990 , has produced more than 100 plays for more than 200,000 St . Croix Valley residents and visitors .
