One of the state’ s toughest teams can be found in its lowest classification. The Earle Lady Bulldogs are here to prove this year that it doesn’ t matter the classification, they can play with anyone. With everyone returning from last season’ s 1A State Runner-up team, and some new faces that will make big impacts, Coach Steven Jefferson’ s Lady Dogs should be the favorite to cut down the nets in Hot Springs. Senior guard Jada Maples returns after earning All-State last season. The Missouri Tiger commit can do it all on the floor and is ready to lead her team to a state championship. Junior guard Journey Jefferson is a deep shooting threat with great handles and vision, who keeps everything going for her father’ s team. Junior forward Madison Dunn is looking for a breakout season after playing well as a sophomore, while seniors Christian Boykin and Ariana Perry return after starting last season. Janariah Murray, Natalie Sanders, Madison Pounds, and Anyiah Miller are all back to provide depth for Earle, while some new faces should play a key role. Senior guard Zanyia Johnson moves in after an All-State season in Searcy and should add to the already stacked backcourt for the Lady Bulldogs. Madison Gilespie and Jada Cheers move in from Marion to provide more depth and athleticism as well. Coach Jefferson notes that playing hard and staying focused are the two keys it will take for the Earle Lady Bulldogs to be successful. Look for Earle to be at the top of the mountain come March.
