6. We hear you will be pitching quite a bit as well. What pitches do you have and what can we really expect from you on the mound? My arm this season is feeling great. I throw a fastball, slider and splitter. Hopefully, I can get back up to my velocity from last year and even higher. I hit 91 against LRCA last year, and I’ m striving to get higher than that this year.
7. You really grew and got bigger in the weight room last season and grew some more it seemed like this season. Talk about your time in the weight room? I knew after my junior year of football I needed to get bigger to play linebacker. I continued to keep working hard in the weight room but it was my diet that helped me the most. I pretty much just ate a lot of protein and carbs during the day. It surprisingly made me fast too.
8. Discuss what it has been like playing for Coach Cockrell and Coach Allison. Playing for Coach Cockrell and Coach Allison has been a special experience. Both have helped me to be the best I could be on the field, and have taught me valuable lessons for life. I really can’ t thank them enough for the time and experiences I got to enjoy playing for them
9. Who all do you expect to have big seasons from in baseball and why? I think our seniors this year will have a good season especially with all the experience we have. Drew( Gartman) is hitting the ball really well right now and his defense is incredible. The junior class is stacked as it has been with Keaton Mathis, Owen Roach, Noah Ragsdale, Madden Tatum, and the two transfers including Cannon Driskil and Levi Mathis. The sophomore class is looking good as well with Will Findley hitting it well as well as Layton Holt and Keaton Rodgers.
