Another is Brayden York. He’ s an absolute stud at corner and receiver, we’ re going to surprise people this year with how well our passing game is. Trey Allen will also have a great season like last year. He’ s a dual threat and has a cannon for an arm. Honestly, our entire offensive line is really impressive this year, I know Lane( Johnson) was all state last year and think we will have more all state linemen this year. Gentry( Shirley-Hoskinds), Layton( Neal), Blaine( Baxter), and Dredyn( Hulsey) are big defensive guys that are also going to be dudes to watch for this year.”
Football will not end for the senior if he chooses to play beyond the high school ranks as he has options and offers on the table.“ The recruiting process isn’ t always easy, and you have to prove to colleges that you are good enough to play for them. College football is definitely something on my board after high school.”
Expectations are very high at Southside. The Southerners have a high octane offense with all-state caliber players at multiple skill positions. Braden is one of those key components that will look to help lead Southside to another 4A-3 Conference title along with making another serious run at a 4A state title.
I ' m very blessed. You know Braden’ s has always been one of the hardest workers and super charismatic. He ' s got a lot of his mama’ s jeans in him where people like being around him and he leads by example, so it ' s been really, really fun. You know to watch him play and grow up and went from being a sophomore who was out there and now he ' s a leader on the team. He ' s actually helping me. He ' s our assistant coach and defensive coordinator for our seventh grade team so that’ s been neat to watch. – Head Coach Kenny Simpson
