CONFERENCE SAFETY & SECURITY
AWWA works closely with the Convention Center and Hotel to provide a safe environment during the North American Water Loss Conference, but your help is also needed. AWWA recommends that you read the following safety guidelines:
• Be aware of your surroundings. Always keep an eye on your personal belongings and never leave un-attended. If someone near you is acting suspiciously or if you feel uncomfortable, leave the area immediately and notify AWWA or Hotel staff.
• Know how to handle an emergency. Be aware of the nearest exits and know the emergency route at your hotel. Most are posted on the back of your guest room door, review upon arrival and become familiar on where to go. Agree on a place to meet up with a colleague in the event of an evacuation.
