The Milaca Elementary School vision is to provide a challenging learning environment that prepares students for success at the junior high level and beyond . Staff and students work together to create a culture of respect , responsibility , honesty , and citizenship .
Local educators know the early years lay the foundation for lifelong learning . Milaca Elementary offers half-day options for students ages 3 and 4 years .
Milaca Elementary provides programs for students needing additional support and students ready to be challenged . After school tutoring and summer school opportunities are available .
Elementary students receive a well rounded education based on the Minnesota State Standards , challenging curriculum , and evidence-based teaching strategies . Students in all grade levels have art , media , music , and physical education classes . Band is an elective in 5th and 6th grade .
