CITY OF PEASE
Pease is located one hour north of the Twin Cities on Highway 169 . The city offers small-town , quiet living as well as home and business development opportunities . The city was founded in 1894 by Dutch settlers and incorporated as a village in 1923 .
The city has featured an annual 4th of July Fireworks display since 1915 . This display has attracted thousands of spectators over the years , local and from out of state .
The City of Pease held its first Pickle Festival Sept . 30 , 2023 . Due to the great turnout , the next Pickle Festival will be held on the last Saturday in September 2025 . Come join us for pickles , family fun , food , street market , etc .
A symbol of Dutch Heritage , Jake Plummer and Dick Baas built the city ’ s iconic windmill in 1937 .
