PETER KUDLA INDUCTED 2018
Peter served as the AAMD presdient in 1989 , and throughout his career developed over 3,000 ground-up multifamily homes and operated over 10,000 unit . He was instrumental in working to overcome frivolous defect litigation , a major victory for the industry . He has also been a long-time contributor to Children ’ s Hospital for over 20 years .
CAROL LEVEY INDUCTED 2015
For over 35 years , Carol was involved in almost every area of the Association as a manager and a supplier . Her knowledge and experience has been a huge asset in developing and educating rising stars in the industry . Most notably , she authored Miss Management column in Apartment Trends for over 20 years .
SUSAN LIND INDUCTED 2015
Susan has been a part of almost every committee at AAMD . Her work with membership and ambassadors for years helped grow the association to where it is today . Susan has and continues to teach AAMD seminars . She is a huge proponent of supplier involvement and helping them succeed in the multifamily industry .
DJ LONGO INDUCTED 2018
As a leader , DJ defines volunteerism with action . He doesn ’ t just volunteer expecting others to do the work . He has personally been involved and working on initiatives and projects for AAMD throughout his career . He has helped with IROC , JLAC , Education and was president of AAMD in 2016 .
JIM LORENZEN INDUCTED 2023
Jim has been a highly involved and impactful member since 1991 , with a primary focus on protecting the industry . He has chaired JLAC and served as a wise and analytical voice for over two weeks , and is an original founding member of the AAMD Alliance , which under his guidance has grown to direct $ 500,000 in annual political spending .
TOM LUINSTRA INDUCTED 2016
Tom opened the Apartment Finders International in 1971 and promptly joined AAMD . He was a huge advocate of the association and was one of the original supporters of the AAMD Vacancy and Rent Survey . Tom was very active with Family Homestead , which is AAMD ’ s signature charity still today .
