Lake Minnetonka is fortunate to be surrounded by hundreds of intersecting trails for visitors to walk, bike, run and play. From fun runs to mud runs, triathlons to century rides, the area has a little something for any active resident. Not all races and events may be included in this list. Other community and regional events may not be reflected here.

Wayzata Boo Bash Dash Downtown Wayzata Saturday, Oct. 25 Includes a 1-mile family fun run, competitive 1-mile, 5K and 10K. Costumes are encouraged. The event includes a Pumpkin Derby to see who can build the fastest pumpkin racer and a pie-eating contest. Info: boobashdash. wayzatachamber. com
Tonka Turkey Trot 5K Minnetonka High School, Tonka Dome Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 27 The annual family-friendly 5K allows runners and walkers to kick off Thanksgiving morning with some fresh air and exercise.
