The 2024-25 Lake Conference girls Galaxy of Stars focuses on elite scorers in Minnesota high school hockey .
As usual , it is safe to start with the talented players on the Edina and Minnetonka teams . Edina won the state championship in Class AA with a 24-6-1 mark last season . Minnetonka took third place at state with a 27-3-1 mark .

Nelson both passed the 100 mark in career points the first week of this season . Minnetonka ’ s top returning scorer , senior Lauren Mack , made it to 100 points last season .
As usual , college scouts have their eyes on Edina and Minnetonka players . There are several outstanding Lake goalies in the spotlight along with the forwards . University of Minnesota recruit Layla Hemp is a national-level goaltender . Edina senior Reese McConnell had an outstanding junior year and was in the net when

the Hornets captured the state title at Xcel Energy Center .

JENNA BRITZ WAYZATA FORWARD
Senior forward Jenna Britz is captain of the Wayzata squad along with her twin sister Nicole . Unfortunately for the Trojans , Nicole is unable to play her senior season due to an injury . That leaves much of the scoring burden to Jenna , who was All-Lake last

season with 19 points on nine goals and 10 assists .
