All Aboard! Wayzata’ s 51st annual James J. Hill Days, presented by Sandvold Financial Group, is rolling down the track! Join us the weekend of September 5 – 7 for a jam-packed, three-day festival fi lled with activities for the whole family. This is the perfect time to explore all that Wayzata has to off er. The Wayzata West Metro Chamber is bringing back some community favorite events and providing you with no shortage of fun activities throughout the weekend. Back this year is the Lake Minnetonka Carnival with a variety of fun and thrilling rides, the Rails & Ales Craft Beer Festival featuring 25 breweries and live entertainment, a rockin’ free live music lineup on the Sandvold Stage, and our Street Market featuring 175 vendors where you can shop a large variety of fun fi nds! Don’ t forget to arrive at Lake Street hungry, because this year we have all the best food options on Eat Street. This year’ s Eat Street is stacked with 22 local food trucks off ering savory bites and sweet treats, wonderful food vendors, and of course, our award-winning restaurants. Plus, our Platinum Sponsor, Frigidaire, will be having a pizza activation on Lake Street, showing off their newest product, the Frigidaire Gallery Range with
Stone-Baked Pizza Mode. All that good food will make you thirsty, and don’ t worry, we’ ve got you covered at our Beer + Wine Tents. Plus, our Platinum Sponsor, Frigidaire, will be offering free pizza samples on Lake Street.
Back again is the epic, wildly fun Coaster Cart Derby! Join us for a gravity-fueled, adrenaline-pumping race down Minnetonka Ave. on Saturday, September 6, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. Kids ages 6-14 are invited to register and race. Don’ t miss out on the fun! The excitement continues at the Dog Park, featuring crowd favorites like the Dachshund Races and Doggy Olympics, and brand new activities like Catch the Golden Hot Dog and Puppies & Pilates. Get ready to join the fun, compete for prizes, and create unforgettable memories with your pet on Saturday and Sunday. New this year, Pickleball Palooza! Check out all the Pickleball happenings at the Depot Lot. There you’ ll fi nd vendors featuring pickleball gear, apparel, and accessories. The 2nd annual Battle of the Paddles is from 8 am – 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Catch the excitement of competitive matches, then it’ s your time to shine during open dropin play. Lastly, don’ t forget to look up to the skies before the James J. Hill Days Parade! The patriotic T-6 Thunder Airshow is not to be missed. Come together for these spectacular events and hold on to your caboose, because this will be one heck of a weekend! Come and celebrate the gateway to Lake Minnetonka at James J.
