Tony Miller Jr . Honored with ASCA Individual Award of Excellence

Congratulations to Tony Miller Jr ., assistant dean of students and director for the Office of Student Conduct , on receiving the prestigious ASCA Individual Award of Excellence !
This award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of student conduct administration and higher education . Tony will be honored during the Awards Luncheon at the 2025 ASCA Annual Conference in Portland , Oregon , on February 7 .

Career and Leadership Development Team Completed National Career Development Association ( NCDA ) Training

Ten members of the Center for Career and Leadership Development team completed a 120-hour National Career Development Association ( NCDA ) Facilitating Career Development Training course . This course covered topics including career development theory and application , ethics , assessment , job seeking and employability skills , designing and implementing career planning , business services and employer relations , and more . These participating team members spent time reviewing the information together and applying it in a virtual classroom-like environment that provided an opportunity to practice , discuss , and learn from one another . All participants sat for the exam and successfully demonstrated competence to be a Certified Career Services Provider issued by the NCDA Credentialing Commission . These 10 staff members include : Lisa Moser , Samantha Koenig , Dr . Kevin Muchiri , Jenna Rowlands , Dr . Mary Smith , Julie ( Campbell ) Esber , Kristin Stephens , Jhanae Williams , Katherine Sasu-Twumasi , and Dionicia Mahler-Rogers .
