During her six years as Mayor of Tampa, she focused on improving housing conditions. She developed an effective public-private partnership called the Mayor’ s Challenge Fund and has been a leader in making affordable housing available to all Tampa citizens. With her wisdom and experience, Mayor Freedman has left an invaluable mark on the city of Tampa.( Elected to Hall in 1992)
