COMMUNITY GUIDE 2025

Educating the next generation of leaders

Edina Public Schools is known for providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully navigate the world.
Consistently ranked among the top school districts in the state, the Edina School District has continued to provide quality education to approximately 8,500 students of all ages, supporting students as they journey from the Early Learning Center to Edina High School and beyond.
The district continues to expand its learning opportunities for students, such as language immersion programs and STEAM programs that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.
The district has begun the process of finding a new superintendent to lead students, staff and administrators into its next era of education. Until a new superintendent is selected in 2026, the district will be led by interim superintendent Daniel Bittman.
Edina voters have remained poised to help the district support young learners. In spring 2022, voters renewed a 10-year $ 7 million technology levy and a 20-year $ 7 million bond issue meant to support the district, ensuring that students continue to enjoy a safe and reputable place to learn and grow.
The youngest learners can find top-rated programming at the district’ s Early Learning Center. Students then move on to one of six elementary schools, and later, to one of two middle schools, which have all achieved an A or higher rating by the school-ranking site Niche. Edina’ s South View Middle School was the first middle school in the state to be recognized as a national Special Olympics Unified Champion School for its efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for students with and without intellectual disabilities.
Students’ final stop in the district is Edina High School, where they prepare for the next stage of life. According to Niche, the school is the fourth-best public high school in the state and is No. 2 in college prep.
The district also has top-notch athletics, with students bringing home 208 state champion titles, more than any of the other 500 members of the Minnesota State High School League. As a highly-ranked school district, the Edina Hornets remain a top choice among educators, parents and students in the Twin Cities.
