Back to School

By Jessica Goldfarb, JFGC Communications Specialist
PJ Library’ s Back to School Luau was the perfect way to send summer off in style, drawing more than 100 children and their families for an afternoon of island-inspired crafts, food, and splash pad fun that kept everyone cool and smiling.
The Luau brought our community together in the best way— reminding us that the start of the school year can be just as exciting as summer vacation. While the Luau was all about soaking in the final moments of the season, it was also a great reminder of the community PJ Library builds year-round. As the school year begins, families can look forward to more opportunities to come together— whether at seasonal events like Picking with PJ or cozy story times at the Levine-Sklut Judaic Library.

UNPACKING ISRAEL

MASTERCLASS SERIES

The conflict between Israel and Palestinians is one of the most deeply rooted and difficult challenges of our time. In the upcoming Unpacking Israel: Masterclass Series, Dr. Einat Wilf— renowned author and former Knesset member— will explore the historical forces, core ideology, and narratives that continue to shape the struggle today. From the Palestinian call for a“ right of return” to slogans like“ from the river to the sea,” Einat will examine what these beliefs mean for peace, sovereignty, and the future of the Jewish state.
This session is an opportunity to move beyond surface-level conversations and gain a deeper, more nuanced understanding of one of the world’ s most persistent conflicts.
Einat Wilf Thursday, Sept. 11, 7 PM | Sam Lerner Center for Cultural Arts
