In 2025, Generous Donors Supported
• Giovanni " Gio " Melgarejo was named Renown Children ' s Hospital and Children ' s Miracle Network ' s 2025 Champion Child. Gio is one of only 200 people worldwide with CLOVES, a rare congenital syndrome affecting skin, spine, bones and vascular development.
• The Renown Transplant Institute performed its first and second living donor kidney transplants, made possible by a $ 5.5 million gift from the William N. Pennington Foundation. The grant funded transplant surgeon recruitment and startup costs, and established the Pennington Patient Assistance Fund for transplant patients and families.
• The Conrad Breast Center opened in May 2025 at Renown South Meadows Medical Center, supported by more than $ 11 million in donations including a $ 5.6 million lead gift from Reno philanthropists Jeanne and Raymond Conrad.

• A new interfaith mural, " Trembling Leaves," by Reno artist Erik Burke, was installed in Fianna ' s Healing Garden. The aspen tree mural depicts the seasons as symbols of resilience and interconnectedness, with 17 religious symbols carved into the trunks reflecting the region ' s spiritual diversity.
• The Renown Crisis Care Center opened, providing 24 / 7 support for adults experiencing mental health emergencies including anxiety, depression and substance abuse.
