Through our partnership with UNR Med, we have continued to expand research opportunities that advance medicine, improve patient outcomes, create access to leading-edge treatments and address the most pressing health needs of our community.
Our portfolio of clinical trials spans oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, neurosciences, pediatrics and more— including two studies developing procedural workflows to enable possible future clinical trials of histotripsy, a non-invasive focused ultrasound therapy that mechanically destroys target tissue, for destruction of prostate BPH tissue. In 2025, we launched 52 new studies across a growing range of clinical trials, reinforcing our commitment to bringing advanced research and care options close to home.
Healthy Nevada Project
The Clinical Research team is also committed to helping Nevadans understand how their DNA impacts their health. In 2025, Renown’ s Healthy Nevada Project, one of the nation’ s most ambitious communitybased genetic and population health studies, continued gaining momentum. The research study offers Nevada adults the opportunity to learn about their genetic risks for certain cancers and a type of heart disease, regional ancestry traits and genetic traits— all at no cost to them.
