2025 Volunteer Impact Kim Tills

Kim Tills has dedicated twelve years of service to U. S. Kids Golf, including ten years in chairperson roles across multiple key operational areas. Her volunteer journey began with an introduction to Jackie Tucker at Mid Pines, where she spent two years in hands-on roles, including shuttle driving, pace-of-play support, and volunteer control. During this time, she built strong relationships, sparking a longterm commitment to youth golf events.
She went on to assume increasing leadership responsibilities, beginning with the Honda Shuttle Chair role from 2016 to 2019, managing volunteer coordination and player transportation between lodging and tournament courses. After a brief pause in 2020 due to COVID-19, she continued contributing through player-focused initiatives such as coordinating Parade of Nations T-shirts from 2021 to 2023. In recent years, she has expanded her impact significantly, serving as Pace of Play Chair from 2023 through 2026, Player Registration and T-Shirt Chair from 2024 through 2026, and Volunteer Uniform Chair in 2026.
A central part of Kim’ s impact is her leadership in volunteer coordination and event operations. She recruits, schedules, and organizes volunteers across multiple functional areas, building a consistent network of returning volunteers who view themselves as part of a team. Her leadership style emphasizes collaboration, communication, and appreciation, reinforcing that volunteers are essential to the success of U. S. Kids Golf events.
She has also improved operational efficiency within key event systems, encouraging feedback and streamlining processes, such as reducing reliance on paper-based systems. These changes have directly reduced stress during operations and enhanced the experience for both volunteers and participants.
