BUILDING LEADERS ON AND OFF THE COURSE
The VSGA-VIP Scholarship Foundation provides college assistance to graduating high school seniors in Virginia with an interest in golf. The Foundation, a 501( c)( 3) non-profit organization, received funding from both VIP Card sales and its generous donors.
In 2025, the Foundation awarded its highest total amount of scholarships to date, an increase of $ 30,000 from the previous year. A combined
49 students— forty-five high school seniors plus four graduate students
in Virginia Tech’ s turfgrass program— received a total of $ 196,500 in scholarships. Of the 45 high school students, 32 were either employees or dependents of employees at VSGA member clubs.
Since it’ s inception, the program has distributed nearly $ 3.2 million to 1,252 students in Virginia.
“ The Foundation was overwhelmed this year with high quality applications. We’ re more than pleased to award a record number of scholarships, especially to many scholars who had a special connection with our VSGA member clubs.”
