SOCIAL MEDIA , CAMERA , AND CELL PHONE POLICIES AMTA and AWWA encourage the use of social media during our conferences and events . However , filming , or live streaming of any presentation , session or exhibit hall booth is prohibited without the permission of the presenter , or exhibitor . Additionally , if you are unsure about whether it ’ s appropriate to post a picture or quote , please speak with the presenter or exhibitor to request their permission prior to posting . Violation of this policy may result in confiscation of the media and removal from the event . The MTC conference proceedings will contain presentations and additional materials provided by the presenters who wish to have their information published .

Attendees are asked to be respectful of their colleagues by turning off or silencing all mobile devices before entering meeting rooms .

When posting on social media , please feel free to use the hashtags # MTC25 , # AMTA , # AWWA , # membrane and tag @ AMTA , @ AWWA .

AMTA and AWWA work closely with the Convention Center and Hotels to provide a safe environment during the Membrane Technology Conference , but your help is also needed . AMTA and AWWA recommend that you read the following safety guidelines :

• Be aware of your surroundings . Always keep an eye on your personal belongings and never leave un-attended . If someone near you is acting suspiciously or if you feel uncomfortable , leave the area immediately and notify AMTA , AWWA , Hotel , or Convention Center staff .

• Know how to handle an emergency . Be aware of the nearest exits and know the emergency route at your hotel . Most are posted on the back of your guest room door , review upon arrival and become familiar on where to go . Agree on a place to meet up with a colleague in the event of an evacuation .
