HISTORY & SOCIAL SCIENCES

A solid foundation in history and social science is essential to preparing students for the challenges of a changing world . Through a three-year progression of grade-level courses , and diverse elective and AP course offerings , students will develop the historical knowledge and skills necessary for lives as informed and engaged citizens .
Expected progression of grade-level courses : 9th Grade - Roots of the Modern World ( full-year course ) 10th Grade - US History ( full-year course ; graduation requirement ) 11th Grade - Personal Finance ( one semester ) and Civics & Government ( one semester )
