Saff Allison is an English undergraduate student and avid collector of the human experience, capturing the present through prose, poetry, music, and cinematography. Her poetry draws on romantic literature, focusing on the innate connection between human emotion and the natural world.
James Fraser is a Communications & Media student, and a scriptwriter. He wrote and produced a play:‘ The Next Best Offer’ which went to the Edinburgh Fringe last year, and wrote another play called‘ The Second Worst Person’ which was performed in June in the Arts Bar.
Dr. Faisal Chuhan is an NHS GP whose passion for philosophy is a personal journey of liberation. With a BA in Philosophy from the University of London and a Distinction in his MA in Continental Philosophy from Staffordshire University, he now pursues a PhD, exploring thoughts at its deepest level.
Rose London is currently an English Literature undergraduate with a particular interest in postmodern fiction and metafiction. She enjoys writing short fiction inspired by those genres and hopes to pursue a career in creative writing.
Olivia McDermott completed her undergraduate degree this summer at the University of Liverpool in English Literature with Drama. Her fiction and non-fiction prose has been published in The Beckett Circle, Stat Magazine, Sugar, Gale Academic as well as her on university blog page. She is interested in the role that apathetic approaches of twentyfirst century literature play within wider societal issues. Olivia recently received The St Leonard’ s Scholarship to study an MLitt degree in Women, Writing and Gender at the University of St Andrews.
Anna Brown is a previously unpublished second-year English Literature student. She has a great passion for creative writing, as she has used it throughout her life to process everything. She is undertaking a year in the US next year to pursue this passion, hoping to eventually further it into a career.
Logan Devlin is an English Literature and Philosophy student from Derry, Northern Ireland.
Ashton Hickey is an English( BA) undergraduate in his first year. His greatest interests, and influences, are James Joyce, W. B. Yeats and Marcel Proust. Academically, he hopes to specialise in Irish Literature, specifically, again, the works of James Joyce. This is an edited extract of a larger work.
