You dug steady poetry from beneath my sternum, and deeprooted crystals from standstone – lingering in railway tunnels, reflected onto the making of their mossy walls,
spinning under smokylow ceilings.
You took me to lie backflat on concrete, shivering in damp grassy dusk, and told me about the geological conveyorbelt, every atom we hold one day dispersed miles away to form and reform endlessly.
You are rapture in glistening waves summersunset, two a. m. vibrations in the hollow of my chest, the taste of Corona in your Cheapside haven, the busroutes / vapours / uneven pavement I trip over / you are you when you catch me.
‘ We’ re echoes through eternity,’ you said that night, as we looked up / down / across our stretch of universe,‘ a brief place in time.’
