Marketing
Over the past year, the Almond Board of Australia delivered a coordinated marketing and market development program across Australia and priority export markets, focused on increasing demand, strengthening customer relationships and reinforcing the position of Australian almonds in global markets. Across China, India and Southeast Asia, activity connected consumers, trade, retailers and food professionals with the versatility, quality and health benefits of Australian almonds, helping create new opportunities throughout the value chain.
A key highlight was the launch of the CRUNCH cookbook with chef Poh Ling Yeow, which showcased Australian almonds as an everyday ingredient through consumer, trade and media activity across Australia and Southeast Asia. In China, chef masterclasses encouraged greater use of Australian almonds in foodservice, while retail activations with LuLu Hypermarket and Reliance Retail increased visibility with consumers in India. The annual Almonds Ashes also continued to provide a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with customers and industry partners in one of Australia’ s most important export markets.
Within Australia, marketing activity continued to build awareness of the health benefits and versatility of Australian almonds through consumer campaigns and partnerships. The Gather Round activation engaged thousands of visitors during one of South Australia’ s largest sporting events, while the health professional program featuring Olympian Kyle Chalmers and Accredited Practising Dietitian Simone Austin expanded across Australia and Southeast Asia, providing evidence-based nutrition resources to healthcare professionals. Together, these initiatives supported the Almond Board of Australia’ s ongoing role in building demand, strengthening market relationships and creating long-term value for the Australian almond industry.
