• Current professional certification as an APN( NP, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Clinical Nurse Specialist).
• Copy of professional license( s) as an RN and APRN
• One official sealed transcript from each college or university attended.
• Current resume or Curriculum Vitae
• Completed application
• Two references from the following: A Doctorly prepared registered nurse in a supervisory role, APRN or MD / DO with whom the candidate has spent a reasonable amount of clinical time with and / or a prior academician with whom the candidate was taught by in their Master’ s program.
• Personal Goal Statement which includes: o Purpose for attending graduate school. o Discuss the responsibilities of the role that you are pursuing. o Why are you suited for the role that you are pursuing? o How will you incorporate adding graduate school into your current life? o
What obstacles do you anticipate that you might need to address to be successful in this program? o The personal statement should be in the most up-to-date APA format, minimum of 500 words, maximum of 1000 words, with 12-point font and 1-inch margins.
Internal / External Transfers: Students may transfer a maximum of 6 transferable credits. The courses to be transferred will be evaluated for equivalency to the courses at Gwynedd Mercy University. The candidate must provide the syllabus including course description and student learning outcomes within 30 days prior to the interview.( Once the student is accepted, no courses may be taken outside of Gwynedd Mercy University.)

Experiential Learning: Students are required to secure clinical site placements in conjunction with the Clinical coordinator and Program Coordinator. The preceptors at the clinical site placements are required to meet the qualifications of the appropriate accrediting body( e. g. State Board requirements; Board Certified and Board Certified in the student’ s area.) Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from off-campus experiential learning opportunities.
