1. A minimum grade of 73.0 is required for passing in all OSC courses 2. There is no rounding of grades for individual examinations, quizzes, assignments, or final grades.
For example, a final grade of 93.8 is a final grade of 93. 3. Final course grades will be recorded in Self-service as a letter grade corresponding to the whole number grade for the assigned course based on the OSC grading criteria.
Attendance Policy: In the Occupational Therapy Program, professional knowledge and skills are integrated through classroom, fieldwork, and service-learning experiences. Punctuality and regular attendance are expected in every course. Instructors take class attendance into account when determining grades.
1. Students are responsible for contacting an instructor in the event of an absence, lateness, or early dismissal( when able to do so safely).
2. Up to 3 total absences, episodes of lateness, and / or leaving early from a single course are allowed without penalty for fall, spring, and summer terms.
3. Having 4 or more total absences, episodes of lateness, and / or leaving early from a single course in the fall, spring, or summer terms will result in a 3-point final grade deduction from that respective course.
4. Examinations missed due to absence, lateness, and / or leaving early will only be rescheduled at the discretion of the instructor and if proper notification of the absence, lateness, or leaving early was given prior to the exam.
Students are responsible for all material covered in the course regardless of missed class time.
