• Grasping— Applying pressure to an object with the fingers or palm.
• Talking— Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
• Hearing— Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound when applicable.
• Visual Acuity— This is a minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal, monitors, extensive reading, visual inspection, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to eyes.
• Medium Work— Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
All standards were formulated to be in compliance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disability Act.
Affiliate Program Clearances and Policies / Procedures: Students accepted to an affiliate Radiologic Technology program must follow all pre-admission clearance procedures as stated by that program. In addition, all policies, such as confidentiality, dress code, professional liability insurance and professional standards must be adhered to. Failure to comply may result in dismissal from the affiliate Radiologic Technology program and the University’ s Radiologic Technology Program.
Students must maintain health insurance coverage for the duration of the Radiologic Technology Program.

Description: As a radiation therapist, you will work directly with patients, radiation oncologists and radiation physicists using advanced equipment to administer high energy x-rays, radioactive materials, and other sources of ionizing radiation to treat cancer. Preparation for Professional Licensure Registry / Licensure: Upon successful completion of the Program, the graduate is eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists( ARRT) examination in radiation therapy. Instructions to complete the online application will be provided by the Program Director at the appropriate time.
