HISTORY Degree: Minor Program Modality: On-ground
Program Description: Students with a University major other than history may earn a minor in history by completing six courses( 18 credits): HIS107, HIS109, HIS131, HIS132, and two HIS electives.

Academic Progress, Probation and Program Dismissal: The minimum passing grade for all required courses in the major is“ C.” Any grade lower than a“ C” in more than one major course may result in Dismissal from the program. Students who earn less than a“ C” in a required course may repeat it only once; if the repeat results in a grade less than a“ C”, the student will be dismissed from the program.
MATHEMATICS Degree: Minor Program Modality: On-ground
Program Description: Reflective of the mission of the University, the mission of the Mathematics Minor is to provide each student with an education that is not only comprehensive in mathematical theorems and logic, but also literate in the arts and sciences. If you have a GMercyU major in any discipline, you may earn a minor in mathematics.

Internal Transfers: Students interested in adding a minor in mathematics program may do so at any time but must have earned a GPA of 2.5 or higher prior to being accepted into the program. Internal transfers will meet with their current advisor and the CS program director to discuss their interest and the requirements.
External Transfers: Any student who has been enrolled in a regionally accredited post- secondary school of higher education and accepted into Gwynedd Mercy University as a transfer student may apply for a minor in mathematics. The Registrar’ s office will conduct a transfer equivalency analysis of the applicant ' s completed credits. A maximum of six credits from another college or university can be applied to the math minor. Course credits from another accredited institution will be accepted if they correspond to the courses offered at Gwynedd Mercy University and if the course grades are C or higher( C- is not an acceptable grade for transfer). The CS program director will review all transcripts and course descriptions from the sending university to determine course equivalency.
Academic Standards / Grade Requirements: Grades of“ C” or higher are required in each mathematics course. A student may achieve less than a“ C” grade in only two courses and may repeat these courses only once. If a student, regardless of cumulative grade point average, achieves less than a“ C” grade on the third course, or fails to bring all grades up to a“ C” with one repeat, the student may be dismissed
