COACH DEVELOPER OF THE YEAR
Coaching and coaches are fundamental to realising the amazing potential sport has to positively impact individuals , communities and society . In turn , that means the support of coaches is crucial to this .
That ’ s why we ’ re excited to be part of an event tonight that celebrates great coaching and how coaches are helping to change lives for the better – and particularly pleased to be able to show our support to the coach developer community by sponsoring this award .
We are working hard at British Gymnastics to find ways to better support coaches across the community , not just through coach education but also in situ development support .
As a sport we believe the role of a Coach Developer is absolutely critical ,

recognising the important but different roles played by Tutors / Assessors and by Coach Developers as per the CIMSPA national standard for the role of a Coach Developer . We ’ re really keen to promote and protect these roles to ensure the quality of what they do , and to ensure that people in such roles are recognised for the incredible level of knowledge and skills needed to do the job .
