Here ’ s what you ’ ll find that ’ s new in 2024 to accompany the curated training sessions you ’ ve come to expect , all in support of advancing continuous learning and our City ’ s strategic goal of a high-performing government organization .
The development of human capital requires investment in professional enrichment and relational skills , as well as supporting employees as they seek to meet new challenges and opportunities . These training offerings have been selected to enhance a culture of learning within all levels of our organization , and concurrently aid in strengthening the connection between our daily work and the goals of the City Council . All employees are eligible to take advantage of these development opportunities and should use this Catalog to formulate a plan with your leadership for your continued progress .
• According to the 2022 National Employee Survey , the quality of , availability of , and support for training and development opportunities were rated excellent or good , higher than the national benchmark
• 85 % Of the workforce ( total unique participants ) impacted by training
• Since the inception of PSL Forward Training in 2020 : 11,633 employees touched by training through 479 events

Custom Training Requests – Work closely with myself and your Human Resources team to create and facilitate custom content to empower your team to greater heights !
New Supervisor Training Track – Providing a standard of leadership in our City for supervisors new to the role , this pathway requires five training courses to be completed within the first 18 months of becoming a supervisor for the first time within our City .
Leading Today ’ s Workforce – This leadership series , occurring over the course of seven months in 2024 , is designed to test boundaries and experiment with new ideas to challenge the way we ’ ve always done things . How we lead today ’ s workforce has changed , and this dedicated focus in today ’ s work environment seeks to equip leadership with the tools to move today ’ s workforce forward .
