On June 21 , 2024 , the Alaska CHARR Educational Fund proudly hosted the 23rd Annual Selman Memorial Golf Tournament at the Anchorage Golf Course in Anchorage , AK . Despite the timing of the tournament falling on the Summer Solstice , our dedicated staff , generous sponsors , enthusiastic participants , and committed CHARR members ensured its success . Thanks to their unwavering support , we raised over $ 40,000 , all while basking in the beautiful sunshine on the longest day of the year ! These funds will directly benefit the industry through increased annual scholarships for students pursuing degrees and careers in Alaska ’ s hospitality sector . The tournament day was filled with fun and camaraderie , and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in and contributed to making this event a fantastic success .
