Spring 2024 Chicken Throwdown Recap
New to Blue Monarchs eagerly lined up more than an hour before the doors opened for this year ’ s Fried Chicken Throwdown , an event filled with delicious chicken , community spirit , and fun .
Students , faculty and staff flocked to Broderick Dining Commons ( BDC ) to savor fried chicken and more . This year ' s event on April , 10 drew a crowd of 1,808 - a testament to its huge success !
BDC , Rogers Riverside Café , and Ruby ' s Café were contestants in this year ’ s throwdown . BDC emerged victorious , chosen by a VIP panel of judges that included our very own VP for SEES , Brandi Hephner LaBanc .
" This place is so packed . The food is great , and I am having a lot of fun . I am most excited about all the customizable stuff ," said Rae , a Monarch freshman .
