The mission of the Office of Student Accountability & Integrity ( OSAI )
is to assist students with bringing their actions into congruence with their values through accountability , care , customer service , and empowerment . OSCAI is excited to share the great changes that have already been implemented during the 2023-2024 academic school year as we look forward to the 2024-2025 academic school year . One of our primary focuses this year was creating a better student experience within the student conduct process .

Some of the other highlights from this school year include :
Things to look forward to in the upcoming academic year include :
• Reduced our case turnaround time by 78 %, a change that directly benefits our students , by ensuring a more efficient and effective process .
• Welcomed a new Associate Director , Mitchell Burket , in December 2023 .
• Implemented the Pathway Plan sanctioning model , which allows students who accept responsibility to choose how they want to learn from their incidents .
• Hosted or participated in more than five outreach events .
• Revised the Code of Student Conduct in partnership with other campus partners and EVMS partners , which will be more studentcentered and expand student rights .
• Invited 40 students out of over 100 applicants to become the inaugural members of the new University Accountability Board ( UAB ). This is a significant opportunity for student involvement , and we ' re excited to see the impact they ' ll make alongside faculty and staff members
• The name of the office will change to the Office of Student Accountability & Academic Integrity .
• Pathway Navigator positions are being created to offer another student leadership opportunity for students within the office to help students navigate the student conduct process . More proactive outreach and collaborations with campus partners .
• More engagement through social media with students .
• Reviewing and revising the Academic Integrity Procedures to provide a better experience for faculty and students .
