Intro To Ballroom – Adult Dance Classes

Have a special event like a wedding or reunion coming up ? Tired of tapping your feet to the music while watching others have fun ? Think you were born with two left feet and looking for the right ?

If you ’ ve never danced before , it can be intimidating to step through the doors of a studio and even confusing on where to begin . A great way to start is in a group class that focuses on the new dancer , our Intro to Ballroom Class . This class addresses how to learn to ballroom dance and puts everyone on the “ same page ”, allowing the classes to move forward together . There is no dance experience needed for our intro programs as we are experienced with teaching all different variety of people with different abilities . This class is bringing together a fun environment where everyone is learning something new and in a fun and easy way . In the class you will learn everything you need to know to understand ballroom dancing , feel comfortable , be able to practice outside of class , socialize with others in the community , and most importantly , have fun !

What ’ s Required ?

• Pre-registration

• All dancers must agree to our liability waiver to participate in class

• All dancers must be at least 16 years old or older

• Socks , comfortable footwear , or dance shoes ( dance shoes are not required for Intro to Ballroom , but once you decide you will be continuing , we can help you purchase suede-bottom dance shoes )

• Partner required

• A smile and great time !

Intro to the Latin Program

The Latin program offers a great opportunity to grasp different Latin rhythms and music and have room to grow with no limits . We offer a set of dances in this beginners course which include bachata and salsa which are the two most popular and danced social Latin dances ! Salsa will allow you to move through your body to fun up pace Latin music while bachata brings a much slower romantic vibe into the setting where you and your partner can learn to feel each other and move with flow . There are plenty of opportunities to use these skills as Chicago is known to have some of the biggest Latin dance bars and clubs . This is a perfect program for a date night and for couples to have a hobby to grow with each other and have a blast !

Intro to Ballroom Swing Program

Swing is a dance that people often think is difficult , but actually happen to be a lot of favorites and simple to learn ! You can time travel your way back to the 80 ’ s with this dance or find yourself enjoying it to today ’ s artists . It can be danced to different genres like old school rock and roll , blues , and a variety of more modern music sang by Olly Murs and Meghan Trainor . This style is very easy to learn and give you an opportunity to use and show off at many live music outlets and bars .
