Dear Hinsdale Residents ,
Summer is when the Hinsdale Parks and Recreation Department shines , so it seems fitting to dive right into some of our offerings beginning with the Hinsdale Community Pool . The pool features three pools , sunbathing areas , a bath house with locker rooms and a concession area . The opening of the pool is Memorial Day weekend and operates through Labor Day Weekend . In addition to offering open swim , lap swimming and swim lessons , the pool is home to several themed days . Don ’ t forget about our Christmas in July and our new Back to School Bash events .
Speaking of special events , the summer brochure is offering three Lunch on the Lawns , which features Miss Jamie , Magic of Gary Kantor and Jeanie B . and the Jelly Beans . We also are hosting two Movies in The Park and a New Dog Days of Summer event . Don ’ t forget about the annual Fourth of July parade !
A complete list of summer programs being offered in conjunction with other organizations and neighboring communities can be found in the brochure . The summer brochure has a slightly different layout . Now our athletic programs are grouped by activity type making it easier to see all the offerings .
The summer brochure is also filled with information on rentals . Speaking of rentals , if you ’ re simply looking for the perfect place for your special occasion come visit The Lodge , which is a beautiful 52-acre park filled with charming ambiance .
A reminder that the program brochure is digital . The digital brochure allows us to make edits and changes to offerings as they happen , so accurate information is always displayed .
