Here at the city , we strive to do our part to offer excellent customer service to our residents , and are pleased to recruit and retain high quality , hard-working staff and dedicated public officials .

Here are some of the ways the city ’ s departments work for Plymouth :
• The Parks and Recreation Department boasts extensive programming , outstanding parks and trails , and award-winning facilities , such as the Plymouth Community Center , Plymouth Ice Center and the Hilde Performance Center .
• Plymouth ’ s Police and Fire departments make up the Public Safety Department , which provides forward-thinking services to save lives , reduce injuries and maintain safe

• The Public Works Department builds and maintains the infrastructure that residents and businesses depend on – including roads , sewer and water .
• The Community and Economic Development Department ensures that the city develops with a clear vision and careful planning , buildings are constructed safely and soundly , and businesses have the resources they need to be successful .
• The Administrative Services Department offers front-line customer support , administers elections and handles behind-the-scenes functions , such as finance , information technology and public information .
We ’ ve never made a habit of resting on our laurels , and Plymouth always seems to find a way to innovate and improve .
