NATIONAL QUARTET CONVENTION ( SEPTEMBER ) The world ’ s largest Southern gospel music event takes place each September in Pigeon Forge . A variety of artists perform during daytime showcases and evening concerts . Admission is required , and securing tickets in advance is recommended . PIGEON FORGE WINTERFEST ( MID-NOVEMBER THROUGH MID-FEBRUARY ) Celebrate the season with more than five million lights and winter-themed displays throughout the city . WINTERFEST WONDERS OF LIGHT WALKING TRAIL This free outdoor walk-thru experience features more than 25 large scale lighted displays synchronized to music . The three-mile out-andback riverside trail is accessible from the Municipal Parking lot ( located between The Island in Pigeon Forge and the LeConte Center of Pigeon Forge ), the Old Mill , the LeConte Center and Patriot Park . The trail is paved and pet friendly . Light displays are visible from mid-November through Presidents ’ Day . WONDERS OF LIGHT CHRISTMAS VILLAGE Explore the Wonders of Winterfest Christmas Village .
