One fellow is accepted every two years into this Dallas ACGME-accredited fellowship . Located at a quaternary referral center for the Southwest United States , the program provides fellows with rigorous diagnostic and procedural exposure in both the ablation and device arenas . Involvement in clinical research and scientific publications is required . Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas has a total of four electrophysiology ( EP ) labs where EP fellows have the opportunity to observe and learn from a high volume program . These cases include advanced procedures ranging from pulsed field ablation for atrial fibrillation , laser lead extraction of devices , endocardial and epicardial VT ablation using ischemic VT ablations using CARTO and ESI mapping systems , and left atrial appendage occluding devices .
