Piedmont Park
Spanning over 185 acres in Midtown , Piedmont park is Atlanta ’ s largest and most beloved green space . With a history dating back to the late 1800 ’ s , the park has undergone several physical transformations over time but remains a popular gathering place throughout the year . The park is adjacent to the Atlanta Botanical Garden , another one of Atlanta ’ s most popular attractions .

Atlanta History Center
Spread out over 33 acres in the heart of Buckhead , the Atlanta History Center is the definitive place to experience Atlanta ’ s colorful and historic past . A new wing of the museum opening in late 2018 will house the 374 foot Cyclorama , a historic 1886 cylindrical panoramic painting depicting the Battle of Atlanta . The popular Swan House , a restored 1920 ’ s era mansion , is also located on the grounds of the museum .

MLK Jr . National Historic Park
Walk in the footsteps of one of history ’ s most important figures with a visit to the Martin Luther King Jr . National Historic Site . Here you ’ ll find the modest home where civil rights leader Martin Luther King , Jr . was born and raised . You can also head over to the Ebenezer Baptist Church , where King was once a pastor . The site is located off the King Memorial MARTA rail station and admission is free .

Atlanta Botanical Garden
Explore more than 30 acres of breathtaking botanical bliss at the Atlanta Botanical Garden , located adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown . Since the Garden opened more than 35 years ago , there ’ s been more than 50 different updates , new exhibits and upgrades applied to the facility , making these gardens a must see for anyone in Atlanta .
