Knife River Prestress manufactures pre-fabricated concrete components for bridges and buildings( wall panels, bridge girders, structural beams and columns). The state-of-the-art Spokane plant started operation in the summer of 2023. The vast factory expansion project has four acres of covered production space and 45 total acres for manufacturing. Some of its products weigh over 250,000 pounds. All of the rock / aggregates used in construction of the plant were mined on the site.
