• We are targeting a 20 % reduction in emissions by 2030 by focusing on alternative fuels and maximizing mileage .
• We partner with the EPA ’ s SmartWay ® program to measure , benchmark , and improve freight transportation efficiency .

Facilities
• Last year , KeHE donated an estimated $ 18 million in food to local pantries . Food donations are a simple way to reduce food waste and give back to our local communities .
• Cardboard and plastic recycling programs are in place at every KeHE warehouse and office facility .
• Eight of our warehouses are LEED-certified under the most widely used green building rating system . Going forward we plan on pursuing LEED certification for all new construction .
• Our Chino DC installed new LED lights , which will reduce our annual carbon dioxide emissions by 136 metric tons or the equivalent of the emissions generated from charging 9 million smartphones .
