One highlight of this past year was the launch of the KeHE ® Food First Strategic Plan . Why “ Food First ?” As Deb Conklin explains , “ All our competitors are freight people . We ’ re food people . What ’ s in the box is what ’ s important .”
The plan fully leverages our competitive advantage by focusing on four strategic objectives :

Growing the good with revitalized Fresh offerings , increased Natural , Organic , and Specialty market share , and key mergers and acquisitions .
Partner success
Making it easy for suppliers and partners to work with KeHE , and driving differentiation with innovative products and services .
Culture
Being a force for good in the world , including doing good for each other .
Conklin says , “ It is an absolute game-changer to have everyone in this company align on what good looks like .” That is the core idea behind the Food First Strategic Plan .
