As an ardent housing advocate , astute lobbyist , and accomplished governmental affairs professional during a 33-year career , Douglas P . “ Doug ” Buck was the driving force behind many of the Florida Home Builders Association ’ s most significant legislative and regulatory victories , all of which directly contributed to the success of builders and their associates , as well as homeowners and consumers . He began his 25-year tenure with FHBA as a governmental affairs specialist and served as Governmental Affairs Director for nine years prior to his retirement in December , 2019 .
