Since 2015 , Trillium Health Resources has added more than 30 inclusive playgrounds across the state of North Carolina . This playground is designed to encourage children to have a shared play experience with each other . This approach to playground design helps to eliminate the stigma associated with disabilities and brings people together .
Our designers incorporated flowers , bees , and butterflies to give the entire play experience a fun and flighty feel . The centerpiece of the playground is a large , ramped play structure with plenty of ways for children to play and socialize together . As you move across the inclusive poured-in-place surfacing , a vibrant garden of flowers will appear beneath your feet . Gaze up , and you ’ ll spot honeybees flying along the uprights . Young adventurers can also traverse through a butterfly net climber and bee and honeycomb climber to experience the vibrant world of insects . Travel more through the play area and you ’ ll find our eye-catching ShadowPlay Flower that children can rotate , casting a kaleidoscope of colorful shadows upon the ground .
