April – June 2023 : Dressing for Success
In the second quarter , our focus was on helping those preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce . We collected gently used professional clothing to donate to local career readiness nonprofits . In addition , our volunteers sorted donations and worked directly with clients to help to style their work wardrobes . Our New York office hosted a panel of Blank Rome colleagues who shared their experiences in the professional world and answered questions from clients of Bottomless Closet , an organization that helps women develop skills and confidence to gain economic independence .

July – September 2023 : Preparing Nutritious Meals
In the summer months , our offices , including our summer associates , helped to prepare and provide nutritious meals to a variety of community members in need .
October – December 2023 : Practicing Gratitude and Giving Back During the Holidays
Community service activities during the fourth quarter included supporting Operation Gratitude for Veteran ’ s Day , facilitating our firm-wide United Way Giving Campaign , and hosting local holiday giving programs .
Operation Gratitude : Colleagues across the firm gathered to stuff Battalion Buddies ( toy bears ) and write notes of thanks to deployed troops and veterans . We stuffed 600 Battalion Buddies that will serve to comfort a child whose parent is deployed .
Holiday Giving Projects : Each office selected a local nonprofit to provide families in need with holiday presents and meals .

New York office volunteers helped prepare and serve dinner to , and spent time with LGBTQ + elders at The Edie Windsor Center in addition to volunteering with Sage USA . Colleagues from our Washington , D . C ., office prepared and packed hundreds of meals with DC Central Kitchen for distribution to shelters serving those experiencing homelessness . In Philadelphia , our volunteers prepared and packed hundreds of meals with MANNA for community members battling serious illnesses . And , colleagues from our Los Angeles office volunteered at Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles to prepare balanced meals that were distributed to local organizations working to combat hunger in the community .
