Blank Rome Lavender Law Conference reception
• BR Pride : Our BR Pride team participated in the National LGBTQ + Bar Association ’ s Lavender Law Conference , hosting a reception for attending lawyers , law students , judges , clients , and other guests . Our reception , now in its third year , was held in conjunction with the Conference in Chicago . The reception has grown each year , more than tripling attendance from 2022 to 2023 .
In addition , during LGBTQ + History Month in October , BR Pride shared communications firm-wide recognizing the impact of lesbian , gay , bisexual , transgender , and queer individuals on history — locally , nationally , and internationally .
As a result of our programming and community involvement , we positively raised our firm ’ s profile within the LGBTQ + community and increased our attorney LGBTQ + representation by more than 30 percent in 2023 .
• BR Women : BR Women focused on leadership development and increasing local engagement . For example , the affinity group held a webinar , “ Investing Through Volatility ,” led by Eryn Schultz , the founder of the financial education company Her Personal Finance , who helps women take charge of their financial futures . Additionally , our Women Liaison Network held events to encourage fellow women attorneys and professional management to gather socially to network , support each other , and problem solve .
• BR Parents : A major focus of the BR Parents affinity group last year was on providing local connectivity and innovative ways to engage new parents . One of the ways the group achieved this was by hosting coffee meetups for BR Parents participants in our offices .
