LETTER FROM THE CEO

When we feel complacent , challenging ourselves to learn , conquer , or complete something new can reignite our passion . This pursuit of adventure energizes both mind and body — a principle that guided World T . E . A . M . throughout 2024 .

“ Adventure is worthwhile in itself " - Amelia Earhart

In January , we channeled this energy into launching our first World T . E . A . M . Challenge : Valley of the Sun in the Sonoran Desert . Through our partnership with the Osaic Foundation in Scottsdale , Arizona , we brought together 25 riders from across the country for a challenging 38-mile journey . Familiar faces collaborated with new athletes , and while this represented uncharted territory for our organization , the experience provided both energy and a foundation for success that carried us through the year .
Building on our success in Arizona , we immediately focused on Face of America planning and fundraising . Thanks to our dedicated volunteers , this program was executed flawlessly , creating a memorable weekend for all participants . New this year , we debuted our Wellness Workshop on Friday of FOA weekend . This interactive session introduced organizations and individuals offering programs focused on physical , mental , and emotional wellbeing for all participants and volunteers . We were thrilled to welcome over 100 new riders to our FOA community . Of the 330 total participants , 45 were athletes with disabilities . Together , we raised an unprecedented $ 800,000 to support both the program and our organization ' s continued growth .
June marked our return to the Catskills for our Adventure T . E . A . M . Challenge : New York . In partnership with Center for Discovery , our athletes pushed their limits across various disciplines — hiking , zip lining , cycling , and more — all with exceptional support from our coaches .
This fall , our leadership team gathered for our annual staff conference on Boston ' s North Shore . We reflected on our achievements and began planning for 2025 and beyond , drawing inspiration from the renewed energy generated by our programs . I ' m excited about what we ' ll accomplish together in 2025 !
