Develop a master plan for the Town ' s indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and parks in support of youth and adult recreation activities , and considering opportunities for emergency uses . After Town Council approved a contract with Miller Legg , a highly-regarding consulting firm with extensive experience in Parks and Recreation Master Plan development , in October 2023 , much of the past year was spent completing the steps for developing that plan . The Town and Miller Legg held stakeholder input sessions throughout the spring and collected feedback via a survey and through a community outreach meeting . Miller Legg compiled the information and delivered a draft plan to the Town in the fall . The Town has reviewed the plan and requested revisions . The completed plan is expected to be presented over the summer of 2025 . This plan will identify areas of deficiency and opportunities for improvement at the Town ' s parks .
In December , the Town sent a proposal letter to Palm Beach County for a partnership to upgrade the West Jupiter Community Center and potentially expand the site to create more indoor space for programming in Jupiter . Town staff is working on a draft interlocal agreement that will be sent for the County ' s review .
The Town also completed the design process for extensive renovations to the playgrounds at Jupiter Community Park ( JCP ), Maplewood Park , and Indian Creek Park ( ICP ). The Town will also complete the design process for playground renovations at Abacoa Community Park ( ACP ) in early 2025 . Grand openings for the new playgrounds at JCP , Maplewood Park , and the first phase of ICP are expected in the fall of 2025 . The grand opening of phase II of ICP , which will include a spray ground , and ACP will be in 2026 . The Town ' s Community Investment Program includes funding to renovate 12 Town parks by 2029 .
In the spring , the Town opened 13 new pickleball courts to support the sport ’ s increasing popularity . To assist area pickleball players , the Town also launched a page on its website that contains resources and information on area pickleball facilities and programs .
