REINVESTING IN THE COMMUNITY
Tackling Reno ’ s Most Critical Health Needs
Renown Health reinvests 100 % of our revenue into the northern Nevada community . As the only locally owned , not-for-profit healthcare network in Reno , every dollar earned supports local programs , people and equipment . This reinvestment aims to reduce health disparities , promote wellness and improve access to care . Notably , Renown provides 66.5 % of hospital services in the Reno / Sparks area and 72.2 % of Medicaid and uninsured care in the region .
In Calendar Year 2023 , Renown Health provided $ 274.7M in Community Benefit , predominantly for unreimbursed healthcare services , community health improvement and health professions education .
The Community Health Needs Assessment ( CHNA ) further supports these efforts by identifying the most urgent health needs , allowing Renown to allocate resources effectively for outreach , prevention , education and wellness initiatives .
