Dear Weinstein JCC community ,
Reflecting on the highlights of fiscal year 2023 fills us with immense pride , particularly the passage of Resolution 818 by the General Assembly in February 2023 . This Resolution stands as a testament to our JCC ’ s remarkable contributions to the Richmond community over the past 75 years . It acknowledges our dedication to fostering personal , cultural , social , and physical enrichment for both Jewish and the general community , reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity and community building .
In addition to this significant recognition , we achieved several other noteworthy accomplishments . Our community voted us as the top choice for preschool , after-school , summer day camps , and recognized us as one of the best membership gyms available . Furthermore , the creation of the amazing community choir “ Voices in Peace ” enriched and inspired the Richmond community through music . We were also able to leverage state and federal government grants to substantially enhance our security infrastructure at Camp Hilbert .
These achievements , coupled with our successful navigation through the trials of a global pandemic , reflect not only our resilience but also our adaptability and commitment to our community ’ s well-being . As we emerged from the pandemic ’ s shadow , we not only recovered but also experienced growth , bolstering our agency ’ s position of strength . Today , we stand at the forefront of creating and serving a vibrant community , poised to continue our impactful work with renewed energy and determination .
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support throughout the 2023 fiscal year . Our Impact Report highlights the remarkable work , and the many lives we touched in the past year , all made possible through the generosity of our donors and the unwavering support of our community .
